| Imade Nibokun is a Duke graduate who took the plunge into freelance music journalism after two years in advertising. It all started with a Tumblr blog that eventually became the soul music website, Imade iN Truth. This platform provided opportunities to write interviews and editorials for urban lifestyle publications and spiritually conscious Hip Hop sites. Imade has been a contributing writer for Heed Magazine and an monthly contributor for HeatCasters.com. As a graduate student in USC’s Specialized Journalism (The Arts) program, she is passionate about telling intimate artist stories that reveal pain and triumph. | Susan Lee, 23, was born and raised in Los Angeles, California . She has recently graduated with a B.M. in piano performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music where she was a scholarship student under the tutelage of Professor Haewon Song. Lee has accumulated extensive teaching experience through private piano lessons for students and community members since her first year, as well as working as a math tutor for elementary students. During the summers, she attended music festivals where she spent her time performing and working with renowned teachers and artists. She will be attending USC in the fall of 2012 for the Specialized Journalism for the Arts program with Tim Page. | Paige Battcher is originally from Louisville, Kentucky. She has also lived in Tampa, Florida, Den Haag, The Netherlands, and in Chiang Rai, Thailand where she served as a Fulbright scholar teaching English as a foreign language. Her undergraduate degree is in Finance. She has played eight competitive sports. Her interests include urban planning for mega-sporting events, ambassadorial peacemaking, and Portuguese. Her ambition is to begin a career in television broadcasting at the intersection of sport, urban transformation, and the Olympic Games. Hobbies include athletics, blogging, filmmaking, traveling and couchsurfing with strangers. |
