Venice, you strange creature. For those of you who have not experienced the insanity the boardwalk offers, allow me to attempt a description: this is where musicians, fortune tellers, tattoo artists, jewellery designers, painters, daring performers and more find their spotlight. Everyone is an exhibitionist and everyone is collecting tips. If you don’t tip for photos, don’t bother taking one. The boardwalk is crowded by circus looking creatures, skateboarding youth rushing by, cyclists and rollerbladers. It’s overwhelming.
And then I found Mr. Wright. He sets up a flimsy table made from a few cardboard boxes at 9am every morning and reminds people to ‘stop and smell the roses’.
