Welcome to echoparkCONNECT!
Though Echo Park only stretches across the 2.7 miles between the Downtown high-rise skyline and the Hollywood Hills, it is divided into two distinct communities. One caters to affluent young adults looking to surround themselves with art, booze, and skinny jeans. The other houses a mostly Hispanic population, homeless
people, and gangs that tear the community apart. One thing that unites these communities is the iconic lake that is currently undergoing its own transition. It is a work in progress, much like the city it is housed in. As the lake undergoes construction, there is an opportunity to bridge the gaps, blur the boundaries, and find common ground for Echo Park to CONNECT.
